hOOPS sHOWDOWN

Hoops Showdown is a Not-For-Profit 501c3 organization based in New York City. Founded and created by Johnny Rodriguez who grew up playing sports in some of the most famous street tournaments around. During his time playing, he envisioned himself holding his own events when it was time to hang it up. In 2013, he held a successful 4-team tournament which had live DJ’s, giveaways, and special guests in attendance. Through the power of social media, the event caught the attention of local hoopers and media outlets and spread like wildfire. Fast Forward to present day and Hoops Showdown has hosted over 90 Division 1 Student-Athletes with about 20 getting drafted into the NBA. Our goal is to continue giving the inner-city youth an outlet to not only display their talent but a safe haven to spend their day. We are thankful for every sponsorship and donation, current and present, that helps this organization continue their work.
